Paper Creators 6th Challenge

Hi Everybody,

I can't believe how quickly time is going and once again it is challenge time over at Paper Creators

The theme this time is Spring and as part of the Design Team  this is my card.

I have used one of the Sassy Sally Images and it is a pre-coloured image from the Paper Creators shop  that you can download and use as much as you like

If you enter your card into the challenge you could win a £10 voucher to spend in the shop on any items that take your fancy... and there are many cute characters to tempt you.

I have made this card to a 6" tent fold  and I have added in some pink ribbon and a bow along the right hand side.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts   and they are a mixture of roses in different sizes and some small pink daisies.

The letters are from the Alphabet set from Clarity Stamp  and they come complete with matching tile stamps for you to create the blocks.  You can make any word you want  and you will never be short of adding in some ones name to your designs.

As you read this I will be at the GNPE craft show in Harogate ... spending my pennies but if you still haven't entered your name for the chance to win some ...
then do it now.... the draw will end next Tuesday.

Challenge No. 2

Debbie from  Paper Creators   has launched the second of her challenges and this time it has been set by yours truly.

I chose for my theme Black White and one other colour and this is the card that I made.

So my card is black, white and red and before you tell me ... I know I cheated a little because of the skin tones.

But what's a little cheat between friends ???

This is a pre coloured image called   "Noah's All Ears" and he is just one of many that you can choose from the really cute images that you will find.

I have added in some wide silk ribbon and the pearly swirl is from Want2Scrap

If you would like to enter a card or project into the challenge then pop over to   Paper Creators  and add your entry..

You could win £10 to spend in the shop and get some of the delightful images to use on your creations.

It will run until the 29th and then a winner will be picked at random.   Good Luck...

Christmas Tree

Christmas Selection - Mage Bunlde
This little card comes complete with it's own matching envelope.

It is another pre-coloured  image from Paper Creators

It is the "Primitive Christmas Tree"  and you can find it in the Christmas Selection Mega Bundle.

There are 10 different cards in this collection with some really cute images.

This particular one is a Pyramage style and this suits me better than all the cutting out.

The layers can just be seen if you click the photo to enlarge it and the shadow around each section makes it stand out from the one below.  And they are offset for another look.

I have added in some red Organza ribbon and some gemstones in the bottom corner.  The sentiment is also on the sheet and there are several for you to choose from.

Very thoughtful...

Simple Cards - Mega Bundle

Here is another pretty image  from the shop of Paper Creators

It is one of the Simple Cards - Mega Bundles and there are 20 different designs for you to make.

It could be to say thank you for an action that some one has done for you.

There are designs in  the shop for every occasion and you can dress them up any way you want.

For this card I have made it to a 15cms square and  I have matted and layered it onto pink and white card.  The images are pre-coloured so if you are not into colouring for your self then these images are perfect for you.

I used some of the decoupage layers and added them with foam pads..... but  cutting out is not my strong point.

I added glitter and gemstones to the swirl and glittered the sentiment too.

But with the decoupage layers that are left  I made another  card and again  glittered the swirl.... and used a stamp from my  stash for the  sentiment.

This card is an A5 size and I wrapped Organza and Grosgrain ribbon around the bottom.

So from one printed out sheet I have made some pretty cards.

And I still have other elements left over to make another.

So good value for money and so easy to make.

Hanging around...

As you know I joined the Design Team for   Paper Creators  last month and this is one of the images available to buy.

This is  a Sassy Sally image called "Just Hanging Around"

The link will take you to Debbies' Blog for other ideas ... and  this is the link to the
 Paper Creators Shop.

There you can see many more pre-coloured, delightful characters for you to use on your cards.

For this card I have used blue backing paper and under the image a paper doily. The butterflies are "Monarch Butterfly"  from a punch by Martha Stewart.

The little gems and the bow are from my stash and I have added silver corners. The sentiment is a peel off and I must admit that I don't use peel offs very often on my cards.

But there you have a really simple card that is quick and easy to make.

Picture Frames

This another project for the  Design Team that I have joined and again uses digital images from  their shop.

Following on from yesterdays suggestion of NOT making cards ... but using your digital images to create something else instead.

Both of these are A4 picture frames from Ikea and the images are already coloured from Paper Creators  and they make excellent pictures which are ideal for a childs bedroom.

The first one is Sassy Sally Clowns Around  and on this one I have glittered the flower and the nose and added Googly eyes to the character.

Then I have added  pearls  to the buttons... and used pearls around the edge of the mount... and Pearl Flourish close to the image.

The picture has been framed with the Asian Accents Border in red and then added under the glass to the frame. This can either be free standing or added to the wall.

This image is  Jennis Purrfect Costume  and for this I have used the Moroccan Accents to frame the picture.

On this I have glittered the bows in her hair, the inside of the ears, and the cuffs.

The Diamante Flourish,  the border around the image and the Pearls in the previous one are all from Want2Scrap

Both are very pretty projects and will given with love at Christmas to two very special children.

Scrapbook Album

Being part of the Paper Creators  DT  means I get to use some very pretty images.  And most of the time I make cards with them.

But this time I thought I would try something other than a card ... and for this project I have used a rather large Scrapbook Album.

The image that I have used is the Conductor  and  he has been decoupaged onto the front.

I stored it in   "Picasa" which means I can now resize the image to suit whatever it is I want to do.

Picasa is a  FREE  photo editing software  that allows you to store all your photos, backing papers and digital images.

The pink link will give you a wider explanation and also a link to their website.

You will never lose a picture again and you can edit, recolour or resize them as you wish.

For this album I have used shades of blue and each panel has been stitched and then  I have  layered them onto the front of the album.

Using the  Donnas' Alphabet  from the Spellbinders set I showed you testerday I have added Tylers' name.

This letters set is available from   Save On Hobbies   and will be a  useful addition  to your  cardmaking "Stash"

The little fence is a Memory Box  Die  from
Oyster Stamps  and just seems to add the finishing touch to the front.

The Pearl Flourish is from Want2Scrap and adds a touch of luxury to what would otherwise be a plain album.... but not too much as this is for a boy.

I have added Glamour Dust to the name and wrapped Bakers Twine around the spine.

I am sure that his mum will add all the special little items to the album that she wishes to treasure as he grows.

Some news ....

Have you noticed the new button on the right hand side of the Blog page ????

I have made it onto the Design Team for Paper Creators  and I have never done anything like this before .... so guess who is really pleased with herself.

I entered a card for this before I went on holiday and was very pleasantly  surprised  to have the email, to say I was accepted, waiting for me when I got home.

I am so pleased  and this is one of the cards that I have made for Debbies Blog

It is made from Centura Pearl card from Crafters Companion and the papers are a  lovely shade of green from a magazines' free paper stack

The paper Doily if from my stash and the Bling as always is from Want2Scrap
There is a pretty piece of Guipure lace under the image and it has been wrapped with white ribbon and the bow.   I have added Bakers Twine around the spine.

Pop over there to see the other cards that Collette,  the other new DT member and I have come up with,  and there will be lots more to come in the coming months.

This is using the  "Hanging Out To Dry"  image that can be purchased from the Paper Creators shop and there are lots of different characters for you to choose from.

Wish me luck  ....
